Sikia vs Nolt

Nolt’s details checked from its public pricing and help pages. Sources

Nolt is a hosted feedback board with voting, a public roadmap, a changelog and an embeddable widget, priced by the number of boards.

Which to choose

Choose Nolt if

  • You need SAML 2.0, OpenID Connect or SCIM with Okta, OneLogin or Entra ID (Enterprise), or JWT SSO from Essential.
  • You want thorough moderation: an approval queue, a profanity filter, bot protection, and AI moderation on Enterprise.
  • You need Jira, Linear, Intercom, Zapier or Microsoft Teams, which Nolt includes on Pro.
  • You want AI to draft changelog entries from completed posts or GitHub commits.

Choose Sikia if

  • You want Slack and Discord messages captured as requests, not just board activity posted to those channels.
  • You want AI to spot duplicates and merge them as votes with the user's quote attached.
  • You want branding removed from the $19 Starter plan instead of asking about Enterprise.
  • You want a source-available tool you can self-host, with a commercial self-host license on the Scale plan.

The main differences

How the price grows

Nolt prices by board count: Essential covers 1 board at $29/mo billed yearly, Pro covers 5 at $69/mo billed yearly, and unlimited boards need Enterprise. Users never change the price. Sikia prices by projects and AI volume: Free covers 1 project, Starter 1 project with more AI at $19/mo, Growth 3 at $29/mo and Scale 10 at $49/mo.

Slack and Discord

Nolt's Slack and Discord integrations, available from Essential, post new board activity to your channels. Creating posts from Slack or Discord messages isn't documented. Sikia listens in the channels you pick, sorts messages and drafts requests for a teammate to approve.

Duplicates and AI

Nolt prevents duplicate suggestions and has a manual merge tool, and it uses AI for changelog drafts and Enterprise moderation. Sikia uses AI on incoming messages: it writes a clean title, translates non-English messages, and suggests merging duplicates as votes with the quote attached.

Identity and branding

Nolt includes JWT SSO from Essential and SAML, OIDC and SCIM on Enterprise; hiding Nolt branding is Enterprise-only, according to a Nolt staff reply. Sikia removes its badge on every paid plan; sign-in through your own app (JWT SSO) comes with Scale, and it doesn't offer SAML or SCIM.

Moving from Nolt to Sikia

Sikia imports from Nolt with your Nolt API key, reading Nolt's JSON export, and brings over requests, voters, comments, statuses and merged posts. Nolt changelog entries don't come across; republish the ones you want to keep. Nobody is emailed, re-running the import only adds what's new, and vote counts that can't be tied to a specific voter are kept as anonymous votes. Imports need the Growth, Scale or Lifetime plan.
